Dear World,
IT'S HALLOWEEN WEEKEND!!!!!!
The end of October is one of my favorite times of the year. The leaves are all beautiful colors, the weather is just starting to get cold enough to encourage cashmere sweaters and fluffy scarves, and Halloween is basically the springboard for the best holidays; Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve.
This being the first Halloween that my boyfriend and I will spend in our new apartment, I went a little crazy with decorating. Halloween style window clings large pictures of scary skulls, bowls full of candy corn and candy, and red and orange candles are strategically placed all around our apartment. He was really surprised when he came home from work that night, but luckily he thought I was adorable, rather than thinking I'm completely crazy, which I am not. Obviously.....
The end of October is also the prime time to do some quality baking with friends. My girlfriend Liz and I have been baking up a storm ever since the weather was cool enough. Some of my favorites for the season include: Apple Pie, Pumpkin Spice Cookies, Homemade Apple Cider, Chili, and of course the infamous and favorite, Pumpkin Pie. This Sunday, Liz and I have plans to tackle the sometimes daunting task of making pumpkin pie completely from scratch. Hopefully if I can find my camera charger by then I can take pictures instead of using images from Google.
More to come soon about the Pumpkin Pie Adventure, but until next time.....
All my Love you,
Danielle
